The Best Web Hosting for Wordpress
It’s such a shame that many web hosting companies often disregard the specific hosting requirements of Wordpress users, despite the popularity of this open-source blogging platform. I have signed up with several web hosts and it’s quite frustrating to see that some Wordpress plugins aren’t working because some server configuration issues!
I used to host my websites in a local web hosting company because I didn’t have Paypal or a credit card back then and thus was unable to pay for the bigger web hosting companies. To my costernation, some plugins went bonkers because some server configurations were disabled (for security reasons?). Add to that was the fact that support was virtually non-existent and it looked like the company was run by a bunch of salesmen who knew nothing about Wordpress.
Good thing there’s a web hosting company tailor-made for Wordpress fanatics like me. WPWebHost offers web hosting for Wordpress bloggers, with its Wordpress-compatible server, Wordpress issues support, one-click installation, fast and stable server, and a 100 days money back guarantee (Wow, that’s three Wordpress terms in one sentence!). All for only $5 a month.
The Freedom Plan provides 50 GB (50,000 MB) of disk space and 500 GB (500,000 MB) bandwidth per month, quite sizeable for small and large Wordpress blogs. You might think that it’s quite a modest amount compared to other web hosting companies that offer unlimited space and bandwidth. However, there’s really nothing “unlimited” in shared hosting plans. Web hosts will not silently pay the costs for you if your website consumes too much server resources. WPWebHost provides decent amounts of space and data transfer good enough for several Wordpress blogs.
If you’re sick and tired of your web host unable or incapable of helping you with Wordpress installations, problems, configurations and other issues, then you should try WPWebHost. Their support team will help you with anything related to Wordpress. Add to this the fact that their servers are optimized and configured especially for Wordpress.
The best blogging platform in the world deserves only the best web hosting. How about you? What hosting company do you use for your Wordpress blog? Please share your experiences with web hosting companies, especially when it comes to Wordpress.
By the way, if you know a company that offers affordable web hosting, please let me know and I will review it on this blog.
P.S. If you sign up this month of January, you get a $30 discount on your hosting plan. Just use the coupon code: WPNEWYEAR.
UPDATE: For a limited time, I am offering a 30% discount if you sign up using my coupon code: LOY30 (without quotes). Just sign up and enter the coupon code LOY30 to get the discount.

Thanks for sharing the idea of WPWebhost. I have to check out for myself. $5 seem cheap for the features it offer. Yeah, its really frustrating to experience configuration issues… I can attest to that….Thanks anyway…

Never heard of this host before, but they sound good… I had Bluehost before and they cancelled my account without any warning for having too many MySQL requests. All I had was a few blogs on there… I moved to Downtownhost and haven’t had any problems. Bluehost sucks…

Browsing through forums and search engines, I came across some very cheap hosting packages. I am tempted to try those but I am worried there may be lots of downtimes with their servers. They are charging very little for their hosting packages, I’m wondering how they keep their servers up, and how they maintain their servers.

Hi
First of all I like your blog theme..clean and easy to read. Not like many I’ve seen that are way too cluttered. Anyway, just wanted to share something that hit me the other day. In doing my research on web hosting companies, they all seem to offer great products and services at value prices. How then do I decide who to go with? Well after much thought, my decision came down to people who had used the company before…..customer testimonials. Made my decision so much easier..of course coupled with whether of not they were offering free domain, free set up and stuff like that

Personally I have used Powweb, GoDaddy, HostGator, and another one that I can’t remember the name right now (it was the worst, which is probably why I don’t remember their name…) The three listed above all ‘worked’ for me, but after hearing hostgator over and over and over, I finally tried them and have to say I have been extremely happy with them. Easy to use, good price, and great up-time. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them at all.

I haven’t had many problems with web hosts using WordPress and I have a number of them. I don’t use a lot of plugins though.
The one that I do have problem with is the blocking of the php command include when using an off site link. Get around it using curl. It’s a bit fiddly to get set up but actually simple when you do it and it is 100% bulletproof and secure.
I do love WordPress though and I make all sorts of different types of sites with it, a great platform and so flexible.

Hi,
Its so true that there are hosting companies out there that are actually anti-WP.
Thankfully I use Bluehost myself and trust me I tried others before I settled with them. Whilst they are not a “dedicated” wp-hosting company they do offer a full package and i have never had so much as a small problem with my main blog.
To be fair I never thought to go looking for a WP-hosting account. So for me at least its s new concept and shows that despite years as a blogger I can still learn new stuff . Cool

I have found the best host is one I can set and forget. So you want one that is successful and stable, not some kid running it in their spare time so they can see it as soon as it has users.

I would like to add a little more here. One tip that works for me when looking for a new host, which I don’t do any more, is to look for fantastico in their cpanel set up.
If they do then there is an extremely good chance that they have WP already able to be installed from there. This means that they support WP and you should be home free.
Has worked for me regularly.

A lot of bloggers have been blogging about this hosting company. I’m not just too sure whether they’re posting it based on personal experience or because of some incentives from the hosting company.
For me, I’m really looking for an honest (maybe head-to-head comparison vs. other hosting sites) review of this site. I’m currently looking for alternatives as my hosting expires by the end of the year.
By the way, I’m currently hosted at Bluehost.

@deuts, I’m currently hosting this blog on WP Web Host. So far I’m very satisfied with their services as they migrated my WordPress installation from my old server. They also answered a lot of my questions regarding Wordpress and even other hosting related problems.
There are many web hosting companies who offer great service, but the question is, can they help you with your Wordpress issues and questions? I don’t think so. I can sleep well at night knowing that my web hosting company is run by Wordpress experts who never hesitate to assist you.

One would think that all blogging software would remain true to the basic idea, however, ask any host and they will tell you that they have to massage the software to get it fo function properly. Hats off to any blog master that can keep the compatibility issues from ruining a good site.

I still find that WP works best if you keep the plugin count low regardless of the host. Some hosts do make it more difficult than others but they, mostly, all work.
I still look for Fantastico as a guide to a WP friendly host.
I don’t usually use the Fantastico install though as I currently use a WP template that I have SE optimized for my own purposes.
Just been submitting some software and it is amazing how many of the software sites don’t work properly due to coding errors or MySQL failures. Most frustrating.

Wordpress hosting is a concern for some hosts but I’ve used vodahost and they are great so far with Wordpress. Not expensive either. With the increase in popularity for WP as a platform I don’t think hosting companies can afford not to be compatible with Wordpress in any way. This will be a deciding factor for many. I think that WPWebHost will do well as long as they meet users other needs and have good technical support.
